EDUCATION: At a minimum, a High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered as a substitute. If hold only a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree, minimum certification in a related field is required as outlined in Section 3. If hold a master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., social work, family counseling, or a related discipline), certification is not required (exception SUD Maine). Must have two years of continuous sobriety prior to hire, if recovering from a substance use disorder and participate in a self-help program.
EXPERIENCE: Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients, preferably in an out-patient setting.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: CPR Certification preferred Minimum certification in a field related to the services being provided is required unless holds a master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., social work, family counseling, or a related discipline), in which case certification is not required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with community resources SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION Demonstrate knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilize knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements. Document as required in client chart. Conduct process groups, educational, chemical dependency, and other groups as assigned. Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity. Demonstrate good communication skills. Perform in a professional manner and role models a positive image of substance use. Report abuses of clients’ rights immediately. Participate in obtaining the client’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate. Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situations. Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with GRNH, LLC’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that it is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other GRNH, LLC operations. Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding GRNH, LLC’s policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
