Administers comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population from newborn to geriatric using a multidisciplinary approach. Prioritizes patient needs based on assessments and implements care plans according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
Requires a nursing degree, current Texas RN license, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and NIHSS. Preferred qualifications include experience in emergency or acute care nursing and CEN or TNC certifications.
Administers care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric and utilizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or injury. Prioritizes patient care need based on the patient assessment and uses the nursing process to implement a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs. Delivers care consistent with physician’s orders and treatment protocols and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.
