What
You’ll Do: We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Associate Scientist to join the Oncology Research team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting complex cell-based assays, and characterizing discovery stage novel biologics including masked T-cell engagers and ADCs to identify lead molecules. As a bench scientist, the individual will design and conduct high quality experiments independently with guidance of the supervisor, and will be responsible for data analysis and interpretation, thorough and accurate documentation of work, as well as clear and transparent communication of results in group settings including internal and external project team meetings. In this role, the individual will join a cross functional research team and interface with alliance partners. The candidate must have a proven ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Follow established protocols and routinely implement a variety of cell-based assays to characterize response of immune cells and/or cancer cells to novel biologics in vitro.

Independently design and implement new experiments/methodologies, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
MS (5+ years) or equivalent advanced degree in cell-biology, immunology, or related field; 5+ years of relevant industry experience preferred; or
PhD (0-1 year) or equivalent advanced degree in cell-biology, immunology, or related field; industry experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with tissue culture and proficiency in executing cell-based assays including but not limited to reporter assays, cytotoxicity assays, immune cell-based assays, is a must.
Proven expertise in laboratory techniques including flow cytometry, cytokine analysis, ELISA, MSD is desired.
Experience with early drug discovery workflows, specifically with screening of biologics is strongly preferred.
Experience in molecular biology techniques including cloning is a plus.
Ability to handle timeline pressures, and grasp project priorities to submit deliverables within designated timelines is required.
Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills are required.

The expected salary range for this role based on the primary location for this position in California is $115,000 - $135,000 per year. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
