This requisition represents multiple Licensed Practical Nurse openings within the department. The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 90 - 100%25 (36 - 40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Clinics. These positions will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics or Internal Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics. Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients. In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification Basic Cardiac Life Support provider Special Qualification/License: Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication.
Highly Desired Requirements Previous EPIC experience.
Previous Family Medicine experience.
Ability to demonstrate teamwork and autonomy in all aspects of the role.
Strong phlebotomy skills.
Desirable Qualifications Previous EPIC experience.
Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
Previous immunization experience.
Previous phlebotomy experience.
