Summary
Please note
This is a pool position. No guarantee of hours. Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests, interpretation of test results, instrument operation, in addition to supporting clients as they access laboratory services. Oversees laboratory practices for given lab section such as, procedure documentation, quality assurance, quality control monitoring, instrument maintenance, staff training, and preparing for various certification, licensure, and accreditation processes.

Reports To: Laboratory Manager
Essential Functions
Proficient in all aspects of the MLT I role.
Perform moderate and high complexity testing according to published procedures and turnaround times.
Validation of test results to include recognizing questionable results with investigation to determine root cause.
Once root cause is determined appropriate action is taken prior to release of results to customer.
Communicate written and verbal information to customers regarding appropriate specimen collection, transport, and test methodology.
Ability to interpret test results and address client issues in an effective and courteous manner.
Interpret, initiate, and comply with CLIA/CAP/DOH/DNV regulatory guidelines for laboratory testing.
Ability to utilize critical thinking for problem solving.
