Administers contrast media per protocol under proceduralist supervision. Performs accurate patient positioning and radiographic techniques for interventional procedures. Prepares patients, operates equipment, and monitors systems with full procedural understanding. Verifies patient identity using two identifiers and follows universal safety protocols. Reviews patient history and physician orders to apply appropriate imaging protocols. Accurately documents patient history in the electronic medical record. Maintains aseptic technique and ensures patient safety through time-out procedures. Communicates instructions and procedure details clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation. Ensures proper exam coding, image archiving, and charge entry in RIS and ISITE systems. Collaborates effectively with patients and staff, supporting general radiographic procedures as needed.
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire/transfer. ACLS required within 12 months of hire/transfer. ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
