Job Description
Responsible for applying radiation treatments to patients with cancer or other disease process in accordance with prescription and instruction of the radiation oncologist. Perform simulation, set-up, and treatment of radiation therapy patients. Required to have skill and training in multiple radiation therapies. Principle Responsibilities Treatment: Operate treatment machine to give prescribed dose and/or simulator to plan treatment field(s). Properly delivery of prescribed treatment/simulation technique. Documentation of treatment fields and set up. Prepare room for patient treatment according to prescription. Maintain records of daily paint treatments/treatment set up. Report patient concerns and/or complications to provider. Explain procedure to patient as required. Report abnormal operation of equipment to physicist, CMS team and document in electronic tracking system. Perform patient imaging per orders. Create patient schedules. Submit charges according to services provided per protocol/policy.

- Identify risk to self and others> Utilize preventative measures or take corrective action. Recognize and respond to environmental emergencies. Instruct radiation therapy students in all aspects of clinical training. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description, and High school diploma or GED preferred Preferred Qualifications 2 to 5 years in radiation therapy Licenses/Certifications Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire Certification of JRCERT approved course in radiation therapy technologycompletion required

- Range: $37.04 to $50.77 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
