Provide inpatient pediatric ophthalmology coverage, including NICU rounding for ROP screening and treatment. Staff ambulatory pediatric ophthalmology clinic (8-hour shifts on Tuesdays, PRN Wednesdays as needed). Perform ROP treatments, such as laser therapy, and manage follow-up care. Cover physician vacations for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric ophthalmology services. Complete orientation requirements, hand hygiene demonstration, and employee health clearance prior to first shift.
Requires an active Florida Medical License, DEA, and Board Certification or Eligibility in Ophthalmology. Candidates must have experience in pediatric ophthalmology, with a preference for expertise in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
