The Surgical Services Equipment Technician is responsible for efficient and effective support as it pertains to equipment maintenance, facilitation of room turnovers and disbursement of supplies. This individual will act as the Surgery Department liaison with the Facilities Department. The Surgical Service Equipment Technician also performs basic patient care by assisting in the care, transferring to OR table/gurney, and transporting of surgical patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Works under direct supervision.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Candidates must have a National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association and hospital-related experience. Preferred qualifications include completion of a Nursing Assistant program and experience as an OR, Anesthesia, or Central Supply Technician.
