The role involves greeting patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting providers during examinations and procedures. Additionally, the assistant is responsible for maintaining exam room cleanliness, scheduling appointments, and educating patients on follow-up care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and current National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, with BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Preference is given to graduates of accredited Medical Assistant programs with one year of healthcare experience.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date. 3. Current National Certification as Certified Medial Assistant.

Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms; prepares for provider visit by obtaining initial information and vital signs. 2. Prepares exam rooms for patients with attention to cleanliness and availability of supplies. 3. Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures. 4. Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed. 5. Assists provider during patient examinations and procedures. 6. Educates patients on follow up expectations. 7. Maintains quality control testing logs as required. 8. Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition. 9. Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
