Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units such as ICU, PICU, and trauma centers. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of clinical skills and experience with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories. Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and medication protocols. Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care. Manage airway support with ventilator management and oxygen therapy as needed. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management. Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, radiology imaging (e.g., mammography, sonography), and specimen collection/processing. Provide specialized care in areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and trauma medicine at Level I & II trauma centers or teaching hospitals. Engage in discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and patient education tailored to individual needs. Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Assist with complex procedures such as spinal taps, gastrostomy care, ostomy management, and neonatal ventilator support when applicable. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency rooms, surgical centers, or home & community care settings.

Requirements

Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, pediatrics (including neonatal ICU), geriatrics (including memory care), behavioral health, or post-acute care settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including CPT & ICD coding), infection control protocols, and medical terminology. Ability to perform complex procedures such as IV insertion/venipuncture and sterile processing techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus. Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center background highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective triage assessments and patient education. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
