The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous surveillance and documentation of patient cardiac rhythms to identify arrhythmias. They must communicate findings to the healthcare team and ensure all monitoring equipment is functional and correctly configured.
Candidates must have 0-2 years of clinical or clerical experience in a medical setting and a BCLS certification. Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course is required during the orientation period.
