The Registered Nurse assesses and monitors medical concerns for program participants while providing routine and emergency nursing care. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, certifying AMAPs, and completing required medical documentation and reports.
Candidates must possess a valid NYS RN license and an AAS degree in Nursing, though a Bachelor's degree is preferred. A valid NYS Driver's License is required for travel between sites, along with basic computer proficiency.
The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in-services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMAP’s, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities.
