The LPN will provide clinical support by administering medications, drawing blood, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments. They are also responsible for monitoring patient vitals, documenting interventions, and providing patient education.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved LPN school with a valid LPN license and CPR/BLS certification. Required clearances include Act 31, 33, 34, and FBI background checks, with one year of clinical experience preferred.
We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to support our patients and clinical team at 580 South Aiken Avenue – Shadyside Place Building in Pittsburgh, PA. This part‑time role offers three 8‑hour shifts per week, scheduled between Monday and Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with the specific days varying according to weekly business needs.
Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
