Provide general ophthalmology care, managing a variety of medical and surgical conditions for 25-30 patients daily. Perform cataract surgeries and other anterior segment or plastics procedures based on experience and interest.
Must be a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with an MD, DO, or equivalent degree and a completed accredited residency. Eligibility for medical licensure in Wisconsin is required, with subspecialty fellowship training preferred.
The Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a BC/BE General Ophthalmologist to join an established practice in Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This established practice consists of 8 ophthalmologists, including subspecialists in Pediatrics, Cornea, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and Medical Retina and Vitreoretinal Surgery, as well as 6 optometrists.
This is a general ophthalmology practice with opportunities to manage patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. Surgical variety is dependent on the candidate’s training and comfort with given surgical techniques. The surgeon is expected to perform cataract surgeries. The surgeon may also perform other anterior segment procedures, ocular plastics procedures, and/or adult strabismus surgeries depending on surgeon’s experience and level of interest.
