The Specimen Processor is responsible for receiving, labeling, and distributing various medical specimens to appropriate testing areas. They also maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage supply inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
A high school degree or equivalent and strong data entry skills are required. Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of medical terminology and two years of experience as a lab assistant or specimen processor.
Florida Woman Care Laboratory is currently seeking a Specimen Processor - Accessioning to work with cytology, histology, molecular, clinical, and microbiology specimens. Experience in in medical terminology and data entry is preferable. Processors will perform various support activities for laboratory technical staff including specimen receipt and triage, ordering and stocking of materials, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining laboratory workspace. Please note, the hours for this position are: Tuesday - Saturday; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
