Must hold a valid license as an LP, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or be a candidate currently pursuing one of these licenses. Professional licensure in the state of Minnesota is required or expected.
The Mental Health Professional position at Progress Valley plays a vital role in fulfilling our mission of providing individualized care for the clients we serve. 1. Deliver outpatient mental health services by assessing diagnoses, developing collaborative treatment plans, and completing necessary documentation. 2. Achieve a minimum of 24 billable client hours each week; additional billable hours will enhance compensation according to the compensation model. Assess each client's mental and emotional health and collaborate with their other providers to offer integrated treatment services. 3. Partner with the client to set immediate and long-term mental health treatment goals and objectives, and determine the treatment approach and resources to be used. 4. Identify client crises and take appropriate action. 5. Support clients in enhancing self-regulation, problem-solving, coping strategies, and social skills. 6. Evaluate the need for additional therapeutic modalities, such as couples, family, and group therapy, to better meet clients' needs. 7. Conduct individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions. 8. Provide case management to coordinate services, agencies, resources, and individuals within a structured plan aimed at achieving established goals when appropriate. Adhere to applicable laws, regulations and agency policies related to the protection of client confidentiality. 9. Use psychoeducation with clients and assist them in finding additional resources as needed. 10. Deliver culturally competent care, ensuring that therapy is tailored to individual cultural, gender, and lifestyle differences. 11. Build and maintain strong working relationships with all ancillary programs and services at Progress Valley. 12. Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EHR system, including mental health treatment plans, client diagnostic assessments, weekly progress notes, group progress notes, collaboration with other providers, and other client-related mental health information. 13. Collaborate with internal staff and external professionals regarding client treatment and services to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care. Participate in clinical consultation meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions to improve clinical skills and support client well-being. 14. Uphold ethical and professional standards with both staff and clients in accordance with DHS, licensing boards, and all organizations that reimburse Progress Valley Inc. 15. Foster and uphold a positive work culture aimed at enhancing the lives of the clients we serve. 16. May supervise interns, as credentialing permits. 17. Perform other tasks/duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
