Provide direct and indirect patient care to diagnostic imaging patients through comprehensive assessment and the implementation of individualized nursing care plans. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing with a valid California RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications. Candidates should have at least 2 years of recent relevant experience and proficiency in interventional radiology procedures.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: RN-Registered Nurse of California ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of current trends in nursing. Commitment to excellence in patient care. Effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrates accountability and professionalism. Adapts to change in a positive, professional, and productive manner. Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation. Knowledge of performance improvement and evidence-based practice. Basic computer skills. Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, taking into consideration protective interventions, development (behavioral and physical) and physiological characteristics specific to the patients. Experience working with ALL age groups. Cardiac Imaging knowledge Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to utilize medical terminology appropriately. DEPARTMENT REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Interventional Radiology: Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department. Pay Range is $75.49 to $98.88 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
