The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Additionally, the provider delivers aural rehabilitation and implements augmentative and alternative communication systems for patients.
Candidates must hold a current state license to practice speech pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Current CPR certification and a graduate degree from an accredited program are also required.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
