The OB Tech is responsible for performing patient care, service activities, and clinical procedures. These duties are carried out under the supervision of licensed nursing staff within the hospital.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an approved Operating Room Technical School or have one year of major OR experience. A current CST certification and BLS certification are required.

Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School or one (1) year of on-the-job experience in a major operating room. Experience One (1) year ORT job experience in major operating room may replace OR Technical School requirement. License/Certification Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or per NRS 449.2185, sec. 1.(c) "Engaged in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018". Current BLS Certification. Other Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department. Note Employees hired after January 1, 2018 into this position without CST must receive approval from the Market Human Resource Director.
