CNA - Transitional Care Center Full Time Night

CNA - Transitional Care Center at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Night shifts.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (Sub-Acute/Transitional) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Charge Nurse. These duties may include, but are not limited to phlebotomy, EKG's, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned (Young Adult through Geriatric).

Supervisory Authority

None, however, expected to recommend actions to Lead CNA and Charge Nurse.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Satisfactory completion of basic CPR course (level C).
• Upon hire: California Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Experience in a skilled nursing facility, medical/surgical and/or working with chronically ill patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months Recent experience in an acute, sub-acute or transitional care setting.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
