Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff. Promote and protect residents' rights, treating them with dignity and respect. Attend in-service and educational programs, completing continuing education as required by state regulations. Remain calm and professional under stressful conditions. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Adhere to community dress code and maintain a professional appearance. Complete documentation accurately and informatively. Report all changes in a resident’s condition promptly to supervisors. Complete assigned tasks and schedules according to community policies and procedures. Operate equipment safely, using only equipment for which training has been provided. Implement infection control practices consistently. Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures, reporting safety violations appropriately. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course. Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required. Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff. Ability to work safely in an environment caring for seniors without posing health or safety risks. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
