The Nurse Extern provides high-quality, patient-centered care and assists nursing staff with activities of daily living. They perform nursing functions and higher-level procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Complies with all policies and procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements for this position. 12. Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.

Minimum: Enrolled and in good standing at a school of Nursing. Successful completion of a nursing fundamentals class. B.
Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred BLS Certification, American Heart Assoc. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), preferred. #LI-RS1
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an RN school of nursing in good standing and have completed a nursing fundamentals course. BLS certification is required, and prior clinical experience or CPI certification is preferred.
