The Exercise Physiologist develops and implements exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary patients in phases 2 and 3 of rehabilitation. They monitor physiological responses via telemetry and provide health education to patients and their families.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association are required. Candidates must be able to conduct stress testing and interpret clinical data accurately.
The Exercise Physiologist performs a variety of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic exams and monitors inpatient and outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
