The Registered Nurse is responsible for collecting patient health data, analyzing assessments, and developing individualized plans of care. They coordinate care delivery with ancillary personnel and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Illinois. CPR certification is required, and Oncology Certification is preferred.
Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation.Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or issues.Identifies realistic and measurable outcomes which are complimentary to medical plan of care and centered on the patient’s and family's/significant other's needs and appropriate practice guidelines.Collaborates with co-workers, physician, other disciplines, patient, and family to develop individualized plan of care to address patient diagnoses or issues that attains patient outcomes.Coordinates care delivery - Assumes responsibility for assigning and coordinating patient care with ancillary personnel consistent with patient needs, staff competencies and licensure.Evaluates progress towards attainment of outcomes.Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice.Provides care consistent with the Code of Ethics for NursesInteracts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practiceCollaborates with other health professionals and the public in promoting community, national, and international efforts to meet health needs.
Education: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing. License(s)/Certification(s): Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois. Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois Oncology Certification preferred. Current CPR Certification. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
