Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures across all age groups. Collaborates effectively with staff and radiologists to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Requires graduation from a CAAHEP or ARRT approved sonography program and BCLS certification. Candidates must be ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible, with a preference for one year of experience and breast sonography licensure.
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Education an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.
