Performs patient care and clinical tasks under the direction of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider in an ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, assisting with examinations, and managing clinical documentation and scheduling.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of applicable experience. Must hold a current BLS certification and a valid certification from a recognized agency such as AAMA, NHA, or AMT.
