The Clinical Pediatric Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy and clinical nutrition services for pediatric patients. They collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care protocols and maintain professional competency.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related field and registration as a Registered Dietitian. Candidates must be licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure within a specified timeframe.
Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow oral and written instructions, diet manuals/information, computer programs and safety precautions. Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, public, medical staff, and physicians one on one or in group settings. Ability to function independently on assigned patient care units. Experience in heavy demand, fast paced environment. Ability to counsel and educate others. General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
