About the Role
- The Treatment Nurse - LVN or RN at Deeerbrook plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents within a skilled nursing environment.
- This position focuses on administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are effectively implemented.
- The nurse will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- By providing compassionate and skilled nursing interventions, the LVN contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
- This role requires a dedicated professional who can balance clinical expertise with empathetic patient interaction in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or RN license in TX.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, treatment procedures, and medication administration.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
- Additional certifications related to wound care, IV therapy, or geriatric nursing.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Continuing education or specialized training in patient care management.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patients’ health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment logs, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, medication management, and health maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, facility policies, and safety standards.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training as required.
