First Choice Homecare Agency is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home skilled nursing services for a client in McDonough, GA. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with a flexible schedule based on physician orders.
$40–$50 per hour (based on experience and case complexity) OR $60 per visit (depending on services provided) Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and plan of care Manage and monitor TPN administration Medication administration Perform drain care, assessments, and interventions Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation Follow all agency, Medicaid, and state regulatory requirements Minimum Requirements (DBHDD-Aligned Contractor Requirements):
Active Georgia/Compact RN or license (in good standing) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (homecare, ICU preferred) Current CPR/BLS or ACLS certification Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities standards Negative TB screening/test Proof of professional liability insurance (required for 1099 contractors) Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience with IV therapy/TPN strongly preferred Required DBHDD Trainings (MANDATORY): Contractors must complete and maintain all required trainings in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities guidelines, including but not limited to:
Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prevention CPR/First Aid Certification Emergency Preparedness & Safety Procedures Incident Reporting (Critical Incident Reporting) Any additional DBHDD-required trainings applicable to the case Note: Proof of completed trainings will be required prior to assignment. Assistance may be provided to obtain required trainings.
Must adhere to professional boundaries and ethical standards Must follow agency protocols for documentation, communication, and care coordination Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality patient care
