Requirements

PCPs are expected to treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with their patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice. No Obstetrics Clinic Hours are Monday – Friday After hours call service 18 – 22 patients per day (pending complexity) Laboratory services on-site State-of-the-art technology with integrated EMR and electronic prescribing No admitting; No nights Must remain in compliance with all rules and regulations set by Georgia Composite Board based on the Georgia Medical Practice Act. Educating patients in health management and disease prevention. Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines; Provide appropriate patient education; Assume responsibility for day-to-day supervision of physician assistants/nurse practitioners; Participate in medical staff peer review process, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and Clinical Indicator selection; When appropriate, assist clinical personnel in their evaluation of phone calls and determining appropriate disposition; Utilizes EMR Allscripts/Veradigm to document in the Health Record; Promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team; Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia License in good standing. Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required. Current Georgia Medical License required. Valid DEA required. Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Caring, attentive nature. Possess a working understanding and support of a managed care environment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans. Preferred Education, Experience & Skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred. Physical & Mental Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required
