◾Education High school degree or equivalent required. ◾Credentials BLS required. Completion of CPI training required ⚬Oxygen certification (Medication Aide Training Hospital based) required within 6 months of hiring. Update to be completed every 2 years. Work Environment A patient care setting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, contagious disease, hazardous chemicals, dangerous fumes, medical gases, and exposure to out of control patients, which may result in physical or verbal abuse. Physical Demands 1.Stand and/or walk constantly. 2.Sit frequently. 3.Visual, hearing, and color vision within normal limits. 4.Ability to physically help restrain a patient. 5.Full bend and/or stoop frequently. 6.Grip and/or pinch within normal limits. 7.Lift 50 pounds occasionally. 8.Carry 50 pounds occasionally. 9.Reach floor-overhead frequently. 10.Push and/or pull 10 pounds frequently. 11.Fine motor coordination within normal limits. 12.Computer use frequently.
