  • Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am (Nights) Transition program classroom hours are day shift
  • Precepted shifts may be days or nights
  • What you will do: Edward Hospital is delighted to offer a new Critical Care Nurse Transition Program. This program is for experienced acute care nurses who have a desire to transition into Critical Care Nursing. During this program, candidates will train with a critical care nurse preceptor for 8-12 weeks and have 8 weeks dedicated education time.   • Summary: Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
