Requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience, with a preference for one to three months of related training. Candidates must be able to operate specific laboratory machinery and perform basic mathematical calculations.

EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Able to operate biologic safety hood, autoclave, microtome, bone saw and centrifuge. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
