Perform mammography and DEXA studies using ionizing radiation equipment to obtain diagnostic images. Utilize RIS and PACS systems to manage patient data and images under medical supervision.
Requires a high school diploma, graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology school, and ARRT(R)(M) certification. Must have BLS certification and meet FDA and TMB requirements for mammographers.
High School diploma or GED Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT and 25 supervised exams to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers ARRT (R)(M) or obtain ARRT(M) within one year of eligibility MRT- General Certificate BLS through American Heart Association Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
For Mammography Technologist II: 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1-year KSC experience in.
