About the role

The Behavioral Counseling Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling for patients from preschool to adolescent ages. They function as an active member of the treatment team under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • $500 Sign-On Bonus Minimum Start rate $16 an hour - based on experience Base Rate + shift differentials up to $3 depending on shift.

Qualifications

The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

  • School
  • Diploma
  • Experience: Experience in behavioral health or related field required. Experience with children preferred.

Licensure

Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Additional

Requirements: CPR Certification and successful completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint immediately following employment and prior to performing patient care.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and experience in behavioral health or a related field, with experience with children preferred. Required certifications include a valid driver's license, CPR, and completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI).
