Perform various neurological tests including routine, ambulatory, and continuous video EEGs as well as EMGs on adult patients. Maintain and troubleshoot electrodiagnostic equipment while instructing junior personnel and managing departmental records.
Requires certification from an accredited END program or 5 years of neurodiagnostic experience with specific registration in EEG, EP, or NCS. Must possess EMG certification and demonstrate proficiency in operating EEG testing machines and personal computers.

Regularly performs one or more of the following neurological tests on adult patients (as ordered by a physician).
If trained to do EMG testing, the technologist in this class is responsible for obtaining standard, as well as advanced nerve conduction recordings in the laboratory setting under the direction of an electrodiagnostic medicine consultant. The technologist is responsible for checking and maintaining the instruments they use and keep them in excellent working condition. This class of technologist continues education, researches new techniques, and will instruct junior personnel.
All technologists are responsible for maintaining files and records relevant to departmental activities, cleaning and maintaining all equipment and keeping it in excellent working condition and troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Technologists who are scheduled to perform EEGs for greater than 50% of their FTE will participate equitably in the call rotation.

Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
Position does participate in call coverage which is 24-hour coverage for 7 consecutive days every 3 weeks. Call coverage is compensated at a premium rate.
• An associate degree from an accredited college is preferred.
