The technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes. They utilize instrument tracking systems and adhere to manufacturer and industry guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and certification from IAHCSMM or CSPDT within two years of hire. Experience as a Central Sterile Technician or in a related field is preferred.
