Description
- The Clinical Staff Pharmacist II provides pharmaceutical care to Baptist Health patients of all ages through medication order review, preparation, dispensing, documentation, monitoring, patient counseling, and medication reconciliation.
- Collaborates with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and fiscally responsible patient-centered care.
- The Clinical Pharmacist II interprets, reviews and processes medication orders, screens orders for appropriateness and intervenes as warranted.
- Works with physicians, care managers, and other clinical staff, as part of a medical care team focusing on patient outcomes, while maintaining cost.
- Additionally serves as a mentor and develops clinical skills of junior staff.
- Precepts pharmacy students, technician students in collaboration with the Pharmacy management team.
- Actively participates in developing and presenting educational topics, and staff development programs and assists in performance improvement projects, drug use evaluations, formulary reviews and research projects.
- Estimated pay range for this position is $53.11 - $73.26 / hour depending on experience.

- Certifications: Registered Pharmacist.
- Additional
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Science required. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred. Preferred progressive pharmaceutical care experience (or) Pharmacy Residency. Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) preferred. PGY1=3 years and PGY2=2 additional years.
