In your role as a _FT Night Hospice RN Inpatient___, you will help ensure that every patient and family is honored, supported and comforted as they receive the right care at the right time throughout their journey by: Full-Time RN opportunity is currently available for (3) 12 hour shifts/week Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA (American Nurses Association) Standards and the Nursing Process Utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures Oversees and/or participates in safe medication handling and practices Educates patients and families on significant self-care and end of life issues, all hospice services, patient liability for payment, and ensures consent and payer forms are completed Acts as a patient advocate; provides support, information and direct care Triages phone calls to identify patient/family needs and notifies Admission Services of referrals Oversees and delegates assignments of CMTs, LPNs, Hospice Aides, students, and volunteers on shift Participates in weekend, holiday, on-call and/or evening/night rotations Maintains appropriate licenses and adheres to continuing education obligations Ability to cover different areas of hospice care to assure organizational needs are met Provides medical care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting Completes assessments, administers medications and manages plan of care for patients during their shift Coordinates discharge planning with family and medical provider QualificationsEducation and Work Experience Requirements:
• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, Delaware or other compact state
• BSN from an accredited college preferred
