Responsibilities

A training position preparing individuals to gain certification. Residents will work under the supervision of an RT or CBDT in providing bone densitometry exams per physician orders. Position will offer eligibility for certification after 3 months of approved clinical and didactic experience. Residents will train for 3 months (12 weeks) in the assigned area. At 90 days of successful program participation, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ISCD certification examination. A training position preparing individuals to gain ISCD (International Society for Clinical Densitometry) certification. Residents will work under the supervision of an RT or CBDT (proctor) in providing bone densitometry exams per physician orders. Position will offer eligibility for certification after 3 months of approved clinical and didactic experience. Residents will train for 3 months (12 weeks) in the assigned area. (Meridian Mark, Johns Creek, East Cobb/Marietta Imaging, Riverstone (Canton) and possibly Lawrenceville Imaging. At 90 days of successful program participation, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ISCD certification examination. If selected to move forward, please understand that you will be FULLY VACATING your existing position at Northside and FULLY TRANSFERRING to this full-time, 12-week RESIDENCY PROGRAM. Attendance is strictly monitoried and any previously scheduled PTO and/or time away will not be approved or granted.

Qualifications

REQUIRED High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience. PREFERRED Experience in a Radiology setting Willingness to provide direct care to patients of all demographics and those with infectious diseases. Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians and other personnel. Ability to perform clinical bone density exams according to proper standards and regulations. Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM): 8-430 Weekend Requirements: No On-Call Requirements: No

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or one year of work experience. Preference is given to candidates with radiology experience and the ability to provide direct care to diverse patient populations.
