Coordinates inpatient and observation room assignments across various hospital departments to facilitate efficient patient flow. Ensures the optimum utilization of beds to provide high-quality service to patients and physicians.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while an associate degree or two years of college is preferred. No prior work experience is required for this position.
Overview Coordinates inpatient and observation patient room assignments in collaboration with physician's offices, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Critical Care and Medical/Surgical floors in order to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians. Provides efficient and appropriate utilization of beds in all areas.
