Requires a BLS certification and IEMA Radiologic Technologist credential. Education requirements include a high school diploma with 2 years experience, an associate degree, or 4 years of specific job experience.
$41.00 - $43.00 per hour What You Will Do Perform high‑quality diagnostic radiographic exams by accurately preparing and positioning patients, selecting proper exposure factors, and ensuring radiation safety. Administer contrast media within scope of practice, observe patients during procedures, and report any abnormal activity. Evaluate images for accuracy and quality, ensuring proper markers and patient data before submitting studies to PACS; maintain and report on equipment functionality. Support a clean, organized imaging environment across procedure rooms and storage areas while following all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout when needed. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Limited Radiology Technician credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted. Temporary ARRT license allowed in lieu of permanent license.
