Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of human anatomy for adult and geriatric patients. Performs specialized scans depending on the area of practice, such as Cardiology, Vascular, or OB/GYN.
Requires certification or eligibility for certification from ARDMS, ARRT(S), or CCI, and a current CPR certification. Preference is given to graduates of accredited Ultrasound Technology schools with at least two years of specialty experience.

REQUIRED Requirements for Ultrasound Technologists Initial Qualifications · Certified or eligible for certification by: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S). OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) · All sonographers must obtain certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training.) · Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment Continuing Education Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices PREFERRED Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology For specialty areas: Cardiology: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two (2) years cardiac related experience Vascular: Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience OB/GYN: Registered OB/GYN Technologist with at least two (2) years of OB/GYN related experience Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM): 7:30am-4:30pm Weekend Requirements: No On-Call Requirements: No
