Provides direct patient care and supportive services to individuals with mental health disorders and chemical dependencies. Maintains a safe therapeutic milieu and may perform duties of an Emergency Department Technician.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care and supportive services to patients with mental health disorders as well as chemically dependent patients to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients. Carries out a variety of patient care activities which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu, and which meet the patient's needs for comfort and safety. May also perform the duties and responsibilities of an Emergency Department Technician.

Qualifications

REQUIRED Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health related fields, with one (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field setting, OR three (3) years of experience in inpatient psychiatric settings. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM): 7a-7p Weekend Requirements: Yes

Requirements

Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Candidates must have at least one year of behavioral health experience or three years of psychiatric clinical experience and hold a BLS certification.
