The resident will perform bone densitometry exams under supervision to prepare for ISCD certification. The role involves providing direct care to diverse patient populations across various imaging locations.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, or one year of work experience. Experience in a radiology setting and the ability to handle patients tactfully are preferred.

A training position preparing individuals to gain ISCD (International Society for Clinical Densitometry) certification. Residents will work under the supervision of an RT or CBDT (proctor) in providing bone densitometry exams per physician orders. Position will offer eligibility for certification after 3 months of approved clinical and didactic experience. Residents will train for 3 months (12 weeks) in the assigned area. (Merician Mark, Johns Creek, East Cobb/Marietta Imaging, Riverstone (Canton) and possibly Lawrenceville Imaging. At 90 days of successful program participation, the resident will be eligible to apply for the ISCD certification examination. If selected to move forward, please understand that you will be FULLY VACATING your existing position at Northside and FULLY TRANSFERRING to this full-time, 12-week RESIDENCY PROGRAM. Attendance is strictly monitoried and any previously scheduled PTO and/or time away will not be approved or granted.
REQUIRED High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education or (1) one year work experience. PREFERRED Experience in a Radiology setting Willingness to provide direct care to patients of all demographics and those with infectious diseases. Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians and other personnel. Ability to perform clinical bone density exams according to proper standards and regulations. Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM): 8-4:30 Weekend Requirements: No On-Call Requirements: No
