The Nurse Technician provides direct patient care and assists with activities of daily living under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include performing delegated clinical procedures and communicating patient status changes to the nursing team.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be currently enrolled in an RN Nursing program. A current and active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
The Nurse Technician I role is designed to prepare nursing students for progression within Parrish Healthcare’s nursing career pathway. Eligibility for advancement to the Nurse Technician II position is contingent upon successful completion of Nurse Technician I requirements, demonstrated competency and performance, and a commitment to pursuing participation in Parrish Healthcare’s Nurse Residency Program following graduation and licensure
