How you’ll make an impact in this role This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. Join an established, stable and very experienced Pediatric Intensivist Team 24 hour shifts, 8 hours of it in-house 24/7 Pediatric Intensivist service Practice setting: Inpatient Level III NICU/PICU 6 PICU beds 16 Pediatric beds 30 Pediatric Nursery beds 24/7 Neonatology Service NICU 30 beds with 12 swing beds Pediatric Hospitalist support Pediatric ER Access to several Pediatric sub-specialists Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Critical Care Eligible for state medical license and DEA/Controlled Substance registration About the Facility 131 bed hospital All private rooms Level III NICU/PICU 3,000 plus births Integrated referral network Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system Why Physicians Choose Ascension Physician-led, collaborative culture Long-term practice stability National network with local autonomy Mission-centered care rooted in service
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
