Overview Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist
$980.00- $1,260 per shift (base gross), based on a 36-hour (3x12-hour) schedule; equivalent to $70.00– $90.00 per hour.
Each individual performs only those waived, moderate, or highly complex tests authorized by CLIA, Bus. & Prof. Code Section 1204, and must possess a degree of skill commensurate with individual’s education, training or experience and technical abilities. This individual: Supervise section operations and staff performance Ensure accuracy of test results and quality control standards Maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements Oversee quality assurance, policies, and procedures Perform laboratory testing using manual and automated methods Support equipment maintenance and operational efficiency Collaborate with medical staff and leadership as a technical resource Complete additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.ASCP certification, or equivalent, required 2.Requires one year of clinical laboratory work experience. 3.Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA 4. This compensation estimate is specific to California and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location.
