About the role

The Infusion Pharmacist is responsible for preparing sterile compounds and overseeing drug distribution to clinic departments. They must also participate in quality processes and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

SUMMARY

The Infusion Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation of sterile compounds. The pharmacist is also responsible for overseeing drug distribution to clinic departments, participating in the pharmacy’s quality processes while complying with clinic/department policies and state and federal laws. The Pharmacist must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Preferred qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. A minimum of one year of IV infusion experience in hospital or home infusion pharmacy.

Physical guidelines

Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds; ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, or through electronic devices.
